If you have been invited to a baby shower, you are probably looking forward to a fun event where you will get to spend time with your friends and family. However, you know that before the day arrives, you need to find a gift to bring with you to the baby shower. Because the person who invited you is important to you, you want to make sure that you get a nice gift for them. If you’re having trouble coming up with a good idea, the following suggestions will all make great baby shower gifts. Even if you don’t go with one of these exact ideas, they should still spark your thoughts so you can find a nice gift.

Ruffled diaper covers are an extremely cute idea. Since babies love going around the house in their diaper, this gift will allow them to look as cute as possible. Not only does this gift feature cute little ruffles, but you can also add a name to it to make it completely personalized. While the diaper covers are a great gift if you know that the baby is going to be a girl and you also know its name, that’s not always case. If you’re looking for a gift that will be perfect for a boy or girl, the tummy tub clear tub is a great choice. This will make it so much easier for the new parents to give their baby a bath.

Keep in mind that the gift you choose doesn’t have to be for the baby. If you want to make the new mom feel special, a spa package is the perfect option.

With the increased popularity in baby showers, there has also been an increase in the amount of crafts and activities that are devoted to them. From party planners that specialize in baby showers, to games that are designed to offer fun for the party goers that have a baby theme, it seems that there has been all sorts of different ways that creativity and fun can be used to celebrate a new life coming into the world. One of the more popular items that is being found at more and more baby showers is the pacifier corsage.

Pacifier corsages can be fun for the person giving them, as much as they are for the person who is receiving them. There is, what seems like, an almost infinite amount of knowledge on how to make them and how to add little special touches that are sure to hit big. There are also more companies that are beginning to sell them for those people who either don't want to, or simply can't find the time to make them on their own. No matter if they are handmade or store bought, they are always an inexpensive gift to give to the expecting mother.

Aside from being very attractive and a lot of fun to mess around with before and during the party, the biggest benefit of a pacifier corsage comes in after the party. With a baby on the way there are tons of things that the expecting parents will need to buy, baby showers are there to help. But too many times it seems that the simplest and one of the most inexpensive items is the most forgotten. With a pacifier corsage, the expecting mother can choose to keep them, or if the nipple on the pacifier hasn't been damaged, she can disassemble, wash them and put them back for once the baby arrives.

How to Make a Pacifier Corsage

Anyone who is attending a baby shower and has been to at least one before will know that, outside of the gifts and probably a cake and streamers, there really isn’t much in the way of decoration preparation before a baby shower. This can lead to a rather dull party, as the festive nature of a party generally starts with the decorations that the guests are surrounded by. Part of the problem is that the guest of honor won’t be able to attend and everyone knows everyone else making it less important to create an atmosphere of fun. However, there is an easy way to spice up the decorations simple and easily.

Pacifier corsages are a great way to increase the involvement of those involved. You can create them with a group of people (i.e. at the party) or as a simple but beautiful party favor. To get started you will need some tulle, scissors, hot glue gun, silk flowers, ribbon, pacifiers and diaper pins. It’s easier if you get a little bit extra of everything so if there are mistakes you can start over.

First you need to cut the tulle into a rectangle and fold it into a fan like shape. Next tie some ribbon around the pinched bottom and secure it to the pacifier in a bow. If you have to, you can glue it down to ensure that it’s secured well. Next decorate it with the silk flowers as you like, you can add other items as well to create a “baby scene”. If this sounds like too much work you can easily take the pacifiers to a florist and have them do it for a relatively small fee.

Pacifier corsages are beautiful flower decorated pieces that can be worn at a special occasion. Usually they are made out of ribbon, fresh or artificial flowers, and lace. These corsages can be customized to suit someones tastes, or reflect the nature of the special occasion.

Pacifier corsages are popular at baby showers, where they are worn by the mum to be. A great idea is to have all your girlfriends round for a craft party, where you can create corsages. There are plenty of inspiring pictures on the Internet to help you create some special items.

If you are not the creative type then there are plenty of places to purchase ready-made pacifier corsages. Online marketplaces such as Etsy and eBay all have many unique handmade options for sale. You can even hire someone to create a corsage that you have designed. On the high street many haberdashery shops often sell flower corsages and pacifier corsages.

Often pacifier corsages are worn in brooch form by the mom to be, at the baby shower. But they can also be used for ornamental purposes, such as table decorations or napkin rings. Another cute idea is to make lace up bracelets that can be worn round the wrist.

For every new mother, the baby shower is one of the most important steps in preparing for the child. The baby shower allows her to prepare her mind and her home for the arrival of the new family member and will also give her a chance to discuss any apprehensions she’s been having. However, finding the right gifts can be hard for someone who either isn’t that close to the new mom or who doesn’t know what things a baby will need. Luckily there is an option that will surely light up any expectant mothers face.

Pacifier corsages are a great addition to any gift set as they not only offer mommy-to-be a beautiful corsage to wear through the course of the party, but will also give baby a few extra pacifiers for when he’s born. Making these gifts is easy enough with a bit of imagination and a little time and materials. However, if you don’t have the time, or you’re simply not creative enough, you can always buy them.

Premade, these pacifier corsages often come looking like a daisy with the white “petals” made of lace and the yellow center of the flower being the nipple of the binky. After the party it’s easy to remove all of the tape that was used to secure the materials that made it look like a flower and wash it (as per manufacturers recommendations) and put it up for when baby is born.
